Alpha Moneta

Backup vault hosting: your last good copy, kept out of reach

Ransomware goes after backups first. A backup vault is a separate, hardened copy of your backups, held on Alpha Moneta infrastructure in Canada. Immutability is enforced, so nobody, including your own administrators, can shorten retention or delete a copy before its time.

Immutable is not the same as air-gapped. We provide immutability with logical isolation. We do not claim an air gap unless the design includes one.

Frequently asked questions

Is immutable the same as air-gapped?

No. Immutable means a copy cannot be changed or deleted before its retention period ends. Air-gapped means there is no network path to it. We provide immutability with logical isolation, and we do not claim an air gap unless the design includes one.

Who can delete a vault copy?

Nobody, before its retention period ends. That includes your own administrators.

Is a vault a replacement for my primary backup?

No. The vault holds a separate copy of your backups. Keep your primary backup. The vault is the copy you fall back to when the primary is compromised.
