Which HPE Morpheus edition do we need?
VM Essentials covers core virtualization: HVM and VMware management, role-based access control, and core integrations. Advanced adds private cloud, multi-tool automation, HKS Kubernetes, and VXLAN and SDN networking. Enterprise extends to any cloud and any workload, with a policy engine, multi-tenancy, full lifecycle orchestration, and FinOps.

Yes. HPE Morpheus manages VMware and HVM clusters side by side, so we migrate workloads in planned waves and your VMware environment keeps running until the last one has moved.
How is HPE Morpheus licensed?
Per socket, not per core. HPE Morpheus pricing replaces per-core licensing with per-socket licensing, whatever the number of cores or vCPUs you run. You can move to denser servers or add vCPUs without your licence bill climbing with them. We will size your licensing against the hardware you have or plan to buy, and show you the path to Advanced or Enterprise if you need it later.
Does it work with our existing backups?
In most cases, yes. HPE Morpheus works with established backup and recovery platforms such as Veeam, Commvault, and Zerto. Alpha Moneta has been a Zerto MSP since 2012, and we confirm compatibility with your versions during the assessment.
